From the darks pits of history comes a hero! A couple of weeks ago, I was talking with my girlfriend about my old hero, Thrud the Barbarian. Thrud featured on a monthly basis in the old White Dwarf magazine (back in the days when it was still an RPG magazine instead of a flyer for GW) and today, during a boring session surfing, I decided to see if I could find some Thrud stuff. Well I got a lot more that I bargained for. Here comes Thrud!

Sweet. Atari has decided to release a new version of their old classic console. I was never a big fan of the Atari console (I had a Phillips Videopac!!) but if this one comes to Europe I am certainly going to pick it up for old times sake. Now only if I could find an original Galaxians arcade cabinet.

It had to happen! Finally there will be a Star Trek MMORPG. Excellent.... I am currently hooked on City of Heroes and my appetite for online gaming is back. Maybe I should get that boxed Star Trek Original DVD set?

Did Greedo shoot first? Check it out here.

BTW just got Rainbow 6 : Black arrow and have been playing the hell out of it on Live. Great game and must have for any Live/FPS fan that wants to die 10 seconds into the match (like me). There seem to be an aweful lot of players (and a lot of Europeans) around and that is quite amazing since the game got released just last week.

Got a new email this morning from the guys at XGamestation. Here is a quote:

"At long last, the XGameStation Micro Edition is finished and ready to go! Head on over to www.XGameStation.com and become a part of the community of hardware and software hackers exploring the world's first video game console designed specifically for hacking, modifying, developing and expanding! Never before has an entire hardware platform existed for the sole purpose of teaching its users the secrets of its own design and implementation, and we're taking orders as fast as they're coming in!"

A pretty brilliant idea... I talked about it before. Go and check out the website if you are into (retro) games design and programming.

1984, Brave New World or Fahrenheit 541... Some governments are really getting the hang of brainwashing or manipulating the general public. Check out this website (warning: non-patriotic, not politically correct views expressed) ;)... Luckily some people still have working brains AND a sense of humor. Read those books now citizen!
